As an artist, I revel in the creative process. Sculpting has afforded me a means of expression and provided me with over four decades of never-ending trial and fascination. Inspired by the animals I have come to know through the years, my art is motivated by my desire to capture and express that "spark" of personality with each individual work.
As a self taught artist, I have developed personalized mixed media techniques using polymer clay and paint combined with natural fibers of wool, alpaca, cashmere and silk to create my lifelike animal replicas. The majority of my work is fashioned in the traditional dollhouse miniature 1:12 scale (one inch = one foot) and is expressly designed to reflect a personal encounter or endearing memory that will delight the heart and bring a smile to the face of the observer.
Internationally recognized among dollhouse miniature aficionados, my 'furry' little animals can be found in many private collections, on permanent exhibit in museums showcasing small-scale art, and featured in a number of hobby magazines / ezines.
