WIP Whitetail Doe and Fawns miniature sculpture by Pajutee WIP Whitetail Doe and Fawns miniature sculpture by Pajutee
A WIP (work-in-progress) doe & fawns sculpture of BeeSputty clay over wire armature.  These pieces will get a bit more detail carving/sanding prior to paint application, then a fiber coat.

May I ask how you achieve those filigree shapes (like the ears) without squashing the rest of the sculpture when holding it? do you bake in increments? Are the ears wired? What parts do you start with when you sculpt?I love your work!

Thank you!  I sculpt and bake in stages.  Depending on the piece, I do build a wire support to anchor the ears.  I also carve additional details into the cured clay.

Thanks!  I actually like the sculpts without the fur.  I prefer just the detailed form in the clay.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I love them all "fluffed up" but inadvertently detail gets lost when they get fur

Thank you.  I like to work in a dark clay vs. light flesh or white.
